Parents: Effective immediately, this wiki will no longer be updated or in use. JPPSS has blocked this website from our school servers and therefore teachers may not update the site from school or from their school computers at home. We are seeking a smooth transition to another site or another avenue of communication. Several teachers have already begun opening wikis at www.wikispaces.com (an ad free site). Communication regarding this will come home in green folders as it becomes available. Thanks for your patience. Welcome Marrero Mudbugs, CrawDads and MudbugMoms!! We're so happy for you to be joining our big boiling pot! Don't forget to visit the school's website as well. The calendar feature is now working and is kept current. http://marreroacademy.jppss.k12.la.us The first round of the application process for the 2010-2011 school year has closed. Any student seeking a transfer to another magnet school because of transportation, should have already submitted an application. All fifth grade students have submitted their applications to continue their magnet school studies. Letters notifying new applicants of their acceptance will be mailed out the week of March 1, 2010. Thanks to all who participated in the Jambalaya Cookoff and helped in our fundraising efforts! We will have a total of money raised soon, but it appeared to be a great success that would not have been possible with all of your support. Next up-- Gretna Jubilee- March 6, 2010!! Carpool parents: PLEASE display your carpool number visibly by the time you have reached the straightaway leading to the exit gate. If you can, attach it to the back of your sun visor by a clip and then just lower the sun visor. This is the clearest sight we can have of the number and we can get the children lined up in a quicker fashion. Also, please practice your carpool number with your child at home. Thanks! The Mudbug Market is now OPEN!! There is a page on the wiki with the Mudbug Market Order Form that you may print out and send in to have an order filled. Thanks to Ms. Melanie Morvant's Economics Exploratory Group for helping to get the show on the road!! Child care will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. and from 3:20 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. No student may be on campus before 8:00 a.m. unless they are registered for childcare. Any child not picked up from carpool by 3:35 will be sent to childcare and fees must be paid. We are only a phone call or an email away, so please don't hesitate to contact us with your questions. We are looking forward to a fabulous year! I remember reading something on the wiki about selling Entertainment Guides as a fund raiser. What's the status on that? Has anyone checked on it? I received an email yesterday about buying a Guide for 2010.
